Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, commanded his companions not
to cut trees or burn forests even during wars for he prevented cutting
trees as well as killing women, children, and old people, an attitude
that shows the highest level of mercy of treating enemies during wars
mercifully and compassionately. He also prevented hurting all kinds of
living creatures and that’s why the holy Qur’an confirms the
significance of creatures and considers them as nations just like
humans; Allah, the almighty says:
“There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms
Part of) communities like you. Nothing have we
omitted From the Book, and they (all) Shall be gathered to their Lord In
the end.” Anam: 6: 38
Such a look at creatures makes man one of them thus he won’t underestimate them, torture them or even mistreat them.
